[slepc-announce] New SLEPc release - 3.0.0

SLEPc: Scalable Library for Eigenvalue Problem Computations

We are pleased to announce the release of SLEPc 3.0.0.

The major changes in this version are:
- Significant optimization both in terms of computational efficiency  
and storage requirements (especially in the default eigensolver,  
Krylov-Schur).
- Initial support for harmonic projection methods, for computing  
interior eigenvalues without doing shift-and-invert.
- EPSSetDimensions/EPSGetDimensions have an additional argument, so  
application code should be updated accordingly.

 From now on, SLEPc will be released under the GNU LGPL license.

This version is compatible with PETSc 3.0.0 only. As always, we  
recommend all users to upgrade to this new version.
