SLEPc: Scalable Library for Eigenvalue Problem Computations

We are pleased to announce the release of SLEPc 3.1.

The major changes in this version are:
- New eigensolvers: Generalized Davidson (GD) and Jacobi-Davidson (JD). These are the first eigensolvers in SLEPc that belong to the class of preconditioned eigensolvers.
- Added a new class QEP for solving quadratic eigenvalue problems.

This version is compatible with PETSc 3.1 only. As always, we recommend all users to upgrade to this new version.
